// The WP Open Community Collective is a member-based organization supporting the people who make open source technology possible.
What
We Do
The WPOCC designs and runs programs to fund, resource, and sustain open source contributors while strengthening the ecosystems around them. Our programming includes fellowships, rapid response funds, shared infrastructure, and collaborative projects that prioritize contributor wellbeing.
Why
We Do It
The WPOCC exists because open source contribution is essential labor, often invisible, and largely unpaid. Our vision is to support and strengthen the open source workforce by funding contributors directly, resourcing communities, and building systems that reflect open source values.
How
We Do It
The WPOCC’s operations are guided by our organizational values and our processes are rooted in transparency, participatory membership, and the idea that community health is the foundation of technical health.
Who
We Do It
With
The WPOCC serves as an independent and inclusive partner across all levels of the WordPress and open source ecosystems, helping individuals, organizations, and companies foster the innovation needed to keep open source secure, functional, and community-driven.
Partner with Us to Support Open Source
Our goal is to make it easy for companies to invest in open source, while simultaneously addressing the challenges facing open source ecosystems.
The WPOCC tackles these issues by building contributor-first programming that prioritizes collaboration, equity, and contributor wellbeing.
Our work makes it possible for companies to support open source with integrity, transparency, and lasting impact.
